YHWH SHAMMAH is commonly rendered, “The LORD Is There.” The name comes from the closing words of Ezekiel’s vision: “And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The LORD Is There” (Ezekiel 48:35).
The setting of Ezekiel 48:35
Ezekiel’s final chapters describe a restored land, a restored city, and worship ordered around the presence of God. The book closes not by emphasizing the city’s size, strength, or reputation, but by giving it a name centered on God Himself. Its defining reality is that the Lord is there.
More than a name
YHWH SHAMMAH is a reminder that God’s presence is not a decorative idea or an empty religious phrase. His presence is the hope of His people. The name directs attention away from human achievement and toward the God who dwells with, restores, and keeps His people.
For believers, the words can become a steady reminder in seasons of waiting, uncertainty, grief, rebuilding, or ordinary faithfulness: God is not absent. He remains faithful, and His presence changes how we understand where we are.
The message behind the design
The THE BLOVD CO. YHWH SHAMMAH design was created to carry that biblical truth as a lived reminder. The front presents the Hebrew name יְהוָה שָׁמָּה. The back carries the vertical YHWH SHAMMAH composition and the message connected to Ezekiel 48:35.
The shirt is not meant to reduce Scripture to a slogan. It is intended to point back to the truth of the passage and invite reflection or conversation about the God whose presence is the hope of His people.
